Lincoln Arts Centre is the University of Lincoln’s public arts centre with a focus on talent development, innovation and research. Working closely with Lincoln’s small team we reviewed the venue’s strategy and positioning within the University of Lincoln and in the wider geographical area.

Spearheaded by a new artistic approach and informed by extensive consultation, we worked with the team on a new brand strategy and a change of name – simplifying Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) to Lincoln Arts Centre.

This led to a new brand mark based on the form of the building, forming a custom brand grid that all dynamic versions of the logo are built upon.

The brand system was designed to be used by the team at the University and students alike. We developed robust guidelines, toolkits and templates to create a system structured enough to ensure consistency whilst still flexible enough to allow for creativity.

With the new name and brand came a new website designed to improve the visitor experience, strengthening the on-site links to the university and simplifying the menu structure.

We also added a block-builder editor, enabling the team to build content pages flexibly. We introduced a fully functional accessibility tool and streamlined the booking process (using Spektrix’s express checkout) for an overall more modern and intuitive user experience. 

Post launch we have continued to work with Lincoln Arts Centre, both on embedding the brand and on campaigns including standalone products and fundraising.
