We designed the first iteration of the Manchester Wire site (above left) about 8 years ago so it was well overdue an update. We overhauled the design, creating a responsive platform that can handle event listings alongside listicles and longform editorial content.
The design takes a content first approach, allowing Wire to showcase long form writing and media rich content across all sections of the site and on all devices.
The brand refresh has been developed in order to leave room for expansion. The Wire mark is flexible enough to allow for other cities to be brought under the banner.
